Weddings at Blaylock’s Mansion – Where the Fairy Tale Begins

Probably one of the most memorable aspects of a wedding ceremony is the setting where the nuptials were held. One of the most spectacular settings for weddings in Western Canada would be historical Blaylock’s Mansion. From the breathtaking viewscape at Blaylock’s, guests can enjoy the magnificent gardens where colors are in constant change throughout the season. Blaylock’s is also an arboretum, with one of the finest collections of mature Canadian trees in the country.
With many charming and romantic settings for the wedding we leave it up to the bride and groom to pick the location that suits them the best. A night in the Bridal Suite is a wonderful experience for the beginning of a new life together. 
The luxuriously carpeted suite is larger that many peoples home with a picturesque view of the Kootenay Lake, a fireplace at the end of the bed, a large sitting room and bathroom and a large screen TV. With all the enjoyable aspects of Blaylock’s Mansion it would be hard to find a better location for a memorable wedding.

Rates and Services
Just Photographs
After a wedding in town, Blaylock’s grounds with 3 acres of manicured gardens and arboretum are perfect for wedding photographs. Bring your photographer, wedding party and family to the estate. You choose where you would like your photographs taken. This usually takes approximately 1 – 2 hours to complete.
Grounds pictures 1 – 2 hours $350.00
Inside Mansion Pictures add $250.00
Bridal Dressing Room (Sun Room) – if available $195.00
Wedding and Photographs
The wedding ceremony would take place on the grounds. After the ceremony the guests depart to the reception spot of your choice, and the wedding party and family gather with your photographer for your official wedding photographs. The ceremony and photographs usually takes about 2 – 3 hours.

Wedding, Photographs, Wine and Cheese In The Gardens
After the ceremony, the wedding party and family gather for photographs while the guests gather in the gardens for a celebration with wine and cheese. You choose the caterer, servers, and photographer. You would have use of the gardens for 3 – 5 hours.

Rental of Mansion and Grounds
This is the most common option at Blaylocks. The 8 bedrooms are commonly used for family and friends. A rehearsal dinner or wine and cheese get together is often done on the Friday night. The wedding and reception are usually held on the Saturday afternoon. The Bride and Groom spend their first night as a married couple together in the Bridal Suite with a send off on Sunday morning. The Bride will have the exclusive use of the Bridal Suite with sitting room and large bathroom. The Groom can use the beautiful Sun Room overlooking the gardens and Lake. The banquet may be held on the grounds and the photographs may be taken inside the mansion, or in the gardens. You have 1st choice of location on the estate.
$2895.00 per day. Over 50 guests the charge is $10.00 per person.
Winter weddings receive a 25% discount for the second day rental.
If the wedding takes place on a weekend, a minimum of 2 days rental is required.
Photographs may be taken inside the mansion as well as on the grounds.
Exclusive Use of The Mansion and Grounds
If you would like to have the entire estate exclusive for your use add $800.00 to the above price.
